Raina Ivanova is from Germany and Iris Duquesne is from France. Both young women are named as Petitioners in the “Children vs. Climate Crisis” petition, filed with the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child. In total there are 16 young people from around the world who submitted this groundbreaking legal complaint. The Respondents listed in the petition are Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and Turkey. The Petition states that these five G20 members clearly know about the risks of climate change, yet are failing to lower their emissions, and continue to promote fossil fuels.
